Product description
This cosmetic peptide ingredient eliminates acne-causing bacteria through a physical membrane-disruption mechanism, providing effective antimicrobial activity without promoting bacterial resistance. The positively charged peptide selectively binds to negatively charged components on the surfaces of Cutibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus aureus, disrupting bacterial cell membranes and causing rapid cell lysis through osmotic imbalance. Unlike antibiotics that inhibit intracellular enzymes, this membrane-targeting mechanism greatly reduces the risk of resistance development during long-term use. With a low minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC), it efficiently removes acne-causing bacteria within pores, helping improve inflammatory papules, pustules, recurrent breakouts, and comedones. When combined with 0.5% salicylic acid, clinical studies have demonstrated a 40% greater improvement in inflammatory acne and comedones after 28 days compared with benzoyl peroxide alone, while providing superior skin tolerance.
