This cosmetic peptide ingredient regulates the skin's sensory nerve threshold to help block neurogenic sensitivity at its source. It selectively binds to μ-opioid receptors (MOR) on cutaneous sensory nerve endings, increasing neuronal excitation thresholds and reducing the skin's perception of external stimuli.
